Free time activities
A free information service is provided by the secretary of Mondolingua for all the students attending the Italian courses, guiding people about:
- the city of Pisa: how to get around, sights to visit, things to do in your free-time;
- other cities and the heart of Tuscany: how to get there, what there is to see;
- current events in and around Pisa.
Would you like a greater understanding of important aspects of the Italian culture, e.g Italian cuisine, or enjoy captivating walks through the Tuscan countryside? Mondolingua also offers integration courses and guided activities.
ITALIAN COOKERY COURSE
Traditional cuisine plays a major part in the Italian culture. In this course, organised in collaboration with the "La Pergoletta"restaurant, in the historic centre of Pisa, our students learn how to prepare the most celebrated Italian and Tuscan dishes. The chef, Daniela, invites you into her kitchen and takes you on a journey through the discovery of the flavour, smells and colours of Italian cooking. With her passion and experience learn the tricks that make this cuisine so adored and appreciated throughout the world. Then after the lesson… judge the results for yourself, taste your culinary creations along with your fellow students.
Course location: "La Pergoletta" restaurant, via delle Belle Torri, 40 - Pisa
Duration: every lesson lasts 3 hours
Timetable: Wednesday, 3pm until 6pm (tasting at 6:30pm)
Small groups: min 5 max 6 people
Certificate: all students who attend with receive a certificate
Price: 130 € per person per lesson
A DAY IN THE PISAN COUNTRYSIDE The colours of the Pisan countryside are unique, especially in autumn when they take on an extraordinary intensity. Between the months of April and October, Mondolingua gives you the possibility to spend a day in Montemagno, a small medieval town in the heart of the countryside, located 15 km east from Pisa, on the edge of "Monti Pisani" the Pisan mountains. There you will find forests with olive trees and oaks, and it is possible to take small excursions with the Italian course colleagues. At the end of the day you can prepare home made bread together, cooked in a wood burning oven.
In collaboration with CAI (Italian Alpine Club), Mondolingua also offers trekking routes and other outdoor activities in the Pisan countryside so you can discover the rich vegetation of this area. |
