Mondolingua, linguistic and cultural center in Pisa
Mondolingua is a cultural center in Pisa, aimed at spreading both foreign languages skills and multilingual culture, by teaching Italian language to foreigners and foreign languages to Italian people.
We are mainly involved in the organization of study stays in Pisa for International students of all ages. Languages can be useful for many purposes and studied with different aims: since the foundation of our center, we have considered the learning of a foreign language as a tool for personal growth within the exchange between cultures. On that path we've gone through along with numerous students, our mother tongue teachers have always acted as key guides.
Communication-based method
Used in Mondolingua classes, the teaching method based on communication and interaction is the result of the latest theories in language teaching field. Communication-based approach enables teachers to break easily language and psychology barriers, which can impede or slow down the acquisition of a second languages. Each lesson is a 2-hour full immersion experience in the language you are studying. Students get involved and spontaneously assimilate language skills by the reproduction of real life situations in class room. The active and involving dimension of our lessons is intended to fully improve student communication effectiveness. Besides, constant reference is made to grammatical rules or syntax mechanisms in order to strengthen comprehension and expression skills.
Cultural approach
A crucial peculiarity of our method is intercultural approach: we firmly believe that language is part and parcel of the culture of the country in which it is spoken and for that reason cultural contents are at the core of the learning steps. In that way, the study of a language becomes the perfect access key to get familiar with other world countries and populations.
Mondolingua is in partnership with Pasolini Language School, a Center for Italian Language and Culture in Castiglioncello (LI), which boasts over 25 years of experience in running Italian language courses and organizing study stay in Tuscany and rest of Italy.
